Check of level of hydraulic liquid

In hydraulic systems of cars of the Citroёn Xantia brand the mineral liquid of the LHM type having green coloring is used. Application of hydraulic liquid of any other type, including usual brake liquid, can lead to failure of rubber consolidations and system hoses. Store hydraulic liquid in tightly closed container equipped with the corresponding label.


The car should be parked on an equal horizontal platform, whenever possible with a firm covering.
Remember that an indispensable condition at service of components of hydraulic system is the requirement to careful observance of purity. Before starting correction of level of hydraulic liquid wipe a cover of a jellied mouth and a surface of the tank surrounding it. Add only pure hydraulic LHM liquid!


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Need for frequent performance of correction of level of hydraulic liquid is an obvious sign of existence of leaks of the last. It is necessary to reveal a source of leak immediately, and its reason to eliminate. On Citroёn Xantia cars the general tank of the hydraulic liquid used both in brake system, and in system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel is provided.

2. At emergence of suspicions on leakages of hydraulic liquid it is necessary to refuse using the car until the condition of brake system and PAS system will not be checked, and all malfunctions are not eliminated.

3. At the engine working at single turns transfer a control lever an active pneumatichydraulic suspension bracket to the situation corresponding to the maximum road gleam.

4. The tank of hydraulic liquid is located in a back part of an impellent compartment. Wipe a surface round a cover of a jellied mouth pure rags. Find an observation port in the top part of the tank.

5. Level of hydraulic liquid in the tank is checked through a special observation port in the top part of the last. The yellow float of the indicator (And) should be between two red rings (In).

It is possible to consider results of check authentic only at a suspension bracket stabilized in most lifted situation.

6. For correction of level use only firm hydraulic LHM liquid of the green color, stored in tightly closed container. To lift level from the bottom red ring to top about 0.5 l of liquid are required. uncover a jellied mouth of the tank and carefully wipe it. Watching indicator indications through an observation port add in the tank necessary amount of hydraulic liquid (its level should rise to the top red ring). Establish into place a cover of a jellied mouth and muffle the engine.
