Condition check, removal and installation of brake disks

Attentively read the preventions given at the beginning of sections Replacement of blocks of disk brake mechanisms of forward wheels and Replacement of blocks of disk brake mechanisms of back wheels. Replacement of disks is always made in pair for both brake mechanisms of this axis in order to avoid loss of course stability of the car when braking.

1. Prop up protivootkatny boots back wheels, поддомкратьте a front of the car and establish it on props. Remove the corresponding forward wheel. 2. Slowly rotating a disk, attentively examine it from both parties. In case of need remove brake shoes for the purpose of providing the best review of inside of a disk (see. Replacement of blocks of disk brake mechanisms of forward wheels). Existence of small scratches on workers surfaces of a disk contacting to blocks is quite admissible, however, in case of identification of deep furrows, задиров and other serious defects the disk is subject to replacement.
3. On external edge of surfaces of a disk usually there passes the covered strip beaten by a corrosion brake dust which can be in case of need smoothed out by means of a scraper. If on perimeter of a disk the fillet formed as a result of development of a material settles down, it is necessary to make measurement of thickness of a disk by means of a micrometer. The size acts in film in several points on perimeter of a disk both in area of contact to blocks, and out of it. The disk worn out over an admissible limit (see. To the specification) is subject to replacement.
4. In the presence of suspicions on existence of deformation it is necessary to make check of lateral palpation of a disk. Use a tsiferblatny measuring instrument of plunzherny type which should be fixed on a motionless component of a suspension bracket, or with the help щупа lezviyny type measure gap size between a disk and the motionless object located to it closely (for example, an anchor bracket of a support). The size acts in film in several points on disk perimeter. In case of identification of palpation exceeding admissible value (see. 5. Examine a disk on existence of cracks round boltovy openings and other signs of wear or mechanical damages. In case of need make replacement.
