Removal and installation of the case of a throttle

Before the beginning of performance of procedure attentively familiarize with section Power supply system preventions - petrol models!

Removal

Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

Bosch Motronic MP5.1 models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Release a fixing collar and disconnect an inlet air sleeve from the throttle case. Remove a sealing ring.
2. Disconnect the core of a cable of gas from a butterfly valve cam, then liberate a cable cover from a basic arm (do not forget to remove also flat washer and a spring clamp).
3. Release fixing clamps and disconnect electric sockets from assemblies of a potentiometer of an axis of a butterfly valve, a heating element of the throttle chamber (at the corresponding complete set) and the sensor of temperature of soaked-up air (IAT).
4. Turn out three fixing screws and remove the throttle case from the inlet pipeline. Remove from the pipeline a sealing ring (at assembly it is subject to replacement without fail).

MP3.2 Magneti-Marelli 8P/Motronic models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the air sleeve connecting an air purifier to the case of a throttle (see. Removal and installation of assembly of an air purifier).
2. Disconnect the core of a cable of gas from a butterfly valve cam, then liberate a cable cover from a basic arm (do not forget to remove also flat washer and a spring clamp). At the corresponding complete set disconnect a driving cable of inclusion of the kick-down mode (see. Automatic transmission).
3. Release fixing clamps and disconnect electric sockets from assemblies of a potentiometer of an axis of a butterfly valve, a heating element of the throttle chamber, the IAT sensor and the step-by-step motor of correction of turns of idling (at the corresponding complete set).
4. Give three fixing screws/nuts and remove the throttle case from the inlet pipeline. Remove from the pipeline a sealing ring (at assembly it is subject to replacement without fail).

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. It is necessary to give special attention to the next moments:
   a) Do not forget to establish a new sealing ring on interfaced to the throttle case a surface of the inlet pipeline. Track reliability of a tightening of fixture of the case of a throttle;
   b) Track correctness of connection and reliability of fastening of all hoses and electric sockets;
   c) In summary make adjustment of cables of gas (see. Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of gas) and (at the corresponding complete set) kick-down mode inclusions (see. Automatic transmission).
