1. Before starting installation of turns and qualities of a mix of idling execute the following preparatory procedures:
   -  Check a condition of spark plugs size of interelectrode gaps (see. Replacement of spark plugs);
   -  Check correctness of adjustment of a cable of an accelerator (see. A power supply system - petrol models);
   -  Check a condition and reliability of connection of ventilating hoses of a case of the engine (see. Check of serviceability of functioning of systems of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases);
   -  Check a condition of a filtering element of an air purifier (see. Replacement of a filtering element of an air purifier);
   -  Check a condition of components of system of production of the fulfilled gases (see. Systems of decrease in toxicity and production of the fulfilled gases);
   -  If violation of stability of turns of the engine takes place, check kompressionny pressure in cylinders and klapanny gaps (see. The repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - petrol engines);
   -  Make sure that the control lamp of system of injection of fuel/ignition is disconnected (see. A power supply system - petrol models).
2. Make on the car a short trip during which the engine should be heated-up to normal working temperature.

Adjustment should be made within the first two minutes after return from a trip (do not suppress the engine). Wait shutdowns of the fan of system of cooling. having several times lifted engine turns to value of 2000 rpm, remove excess of fuel of their inlet pipeline, then again dump turns to the single.

3. Rather skilled amateur mechanic, having the necessary equipment (a qualitative tachometer and accurately otkalibrovanny gas analyzer) in a condition own forces to execute verification of the content in the fulfilled gases of monooxide of carbon (WITH). However, in case of detection of surplus WITH, the car should be driven away for adjustment on car repair shop.
4. On the models equipped with a control system of the Magneti-Marelli engine adjustment of quality of a mix of idling (contents level WITH in the fulfilled gases) it can be executed only by a way of reprogramming of ECU of a control system with use of the special electronic equipment connected to the diagnostic socket (see. A power supply system - petrol models).
5. On all other models this adjustment is not provided and its performance is not obviously possible. The deviation of under control parameters (turns of idling and concentration WITH in the fulfilled gases) from norm testifies to violation of serviceability of functioning of a control system by the engine. In this case the car should be driven away for performance of more detailed diagnostics and necessary repair on car repair shop (see. A power supply system - petrol models).
